In Bardino Nuovo, in the first hinterland of Pietra Ligure, has been recently setted up a unique museum: the Museum of Tower Clock
The museum was founded by Giovanni Bergallo (last watchmaker of family Bergallo, manufacturers of watches 1861-1980) who expressed his desire to donate his collection to his country to examine as a testimony to art and clockmaking and the family passion for time machines.
The clocks displayed are authentic pieces (the oldest dates back to the 16th century) collected by the Bergallo family themselves or donations from collectors, churches and other figures.
As well as clocks you will find dials, hands, ‘oddities’ from belfries, pulleys, all objects which are a testimony to a rich history of technique and of the unique mechanical clock.
